ACMP 6.10: Automated Data Deletion and Update Control for NIS2 Compliance

Key point: ACMP 6.10 addresses NIS2 Directive and EU Cyber Resilience Act requirements through automated data deletion, enhanced update management, and selective Intune integration.

Aagon, a software company based in Soest, has released version 6.10 of its Unified Endpoint Management solution ACMP, thereby addressing regulatory requirements such as the NIS2 Directive and the EU Cyber Resilience Act. Core innovations include automated data deletion for endpoints, a redesigned update management system, and selective Intune integration.

ACMP 6.10 introduces a bootable deletion solution that completely automates data deletion on endpoints. The background is tightened regulatory requirements: the EU Cyber Resilience Act, ISO 27001, and the NIS2 Directive require companies to completely and irrevocably delete sensitive data when exchanging or disposing of IT equipment. The integrated solution eliminates potential sources of error in this process and documents compliance with legal requirements.

Windows Update Management (WUM), previously known as CAWUM, receives comprehensive updates to improve transparency and control. These include direct delivery of update collections for end users in self-service, flexible restart control with multi-deferrable dialog, enhanced filtering and release processes, and optimized synchronization profiles for automatic updates without manual effort. Additional logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting functions enable better traceability of update status and faster error identification.

Another improvement is the selective import of clients, users, groups, and applications from Microsoft Intune. While ACMP previously automatically accepted all objects, IT administrators can now selectively define which data is integrated into the ACMP console. This significantly reduces the complexity of device management, particularly in large or hybrid environments, and improves clarity.

Aagon has also implemented numerous UI/UX improvements, including configurable restart dialogs and enhanced filtering options, to further automate routine tasks and make administrator work more efficient.
