Key point: Claude Desktop is now available as a complete platform with Chat, Cowork, and Code across all three cloud environments and can be rolled out via existing enterprise management systems (Intune, GPO, Jamf).
Anthropic is deploying Claude Desktop with all features – Chat, Claude Cowork, and Claude Code – on AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry. IT teams can centrally deploy the application with Single Sign-On, MDM policies, and offline installers.
Previously, Claude Desktop users on AWS, Google Cloud, and Microsoft Foundry had access only to Claude Cowork and Claude Code. With the update, they now receive all three interface components – Chat for quick queries, Claude Cowork for research and document creation, and Claude Code for agentic development – in a single application.
The deployment infrastructure leverages existing enterprise standards: employees authenticate via their regular business accounts (IAM Identity Center, Workforce Identity Federation, Microsoft Entra ID, or OIDC providers such as Okta). IT teams export policy templates from the setup interface and distribute them via Intune, Group Policy Objects (GPO), or Jamf. For air-gapped environments, an offline installer is available. Each component (Chat, Cowork, Code) has its own policy keys, allowing administrators to granularly control which roles have access to which features.
Inference runs in the cloud regions configured by the organization; conversation history is stored locally. Organizations define which endpoints data connections may reach and control aggregated telemetry sent to Anthropic. A Microsoft 365 connector enables Claude to access email and documents via the customer’s Entra app, with tenant allowlisting and beta support for GCC High and DoD endpoints.
Before rollout, admins can test all connectors, review available provider models, and validate connections. A Model Guard ensures that routing remains on Claude even in case of misconfiguration, including in GovCloud. Hanwha Solutions demonstrates operational feasibility: the company deployed Claude Desktop across its existing cloud environment and LLM gateway to hundreds of users worldwide – without separate vendor contracts or extensive infrastructure build-out.
