OpenAI reports new top results on Terminal-Bench 2.1 and DeepSWE, which test complex command-line workflows and long-term engineering tasks in real codebases.
The API pricing tiers are as follows: Sol costs $5 per million input tokens and $30 per million output tokens, Terra $2.50 and $15, Luna $1 and $6. OpenAI introduces prices for cache writes for the first time, but maintains the 90-percent discount on cache reads. ChatGPT users receive access to Sol via medium and higher effort levels depending on their subscription tier; Pro and Enterprise users can choose Terra or Luna.
The product strategy links the models with a new desktop app called ChatGPT Work, which combines Codex and ChatGPT, as well as new features such as programmatic tool calling and multi-agent beta in the Responses API. OpenAI is expanding its superapp strategy and focusing on agent-based workflows as well as improved artifact quality.
