TCS and Anthropic Bring Claude to Regulated Industries

Share on:

Bottom line: TCS will deploy Claude to 50,000 employees and numerous enterprise customers in regulated industries, combining its compliance expertise with Claude’s accuracy.

Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), one of the world’s largest technology service providers, and Anthropic announced a strategic partnership. TCS will roll out Claude to 50,000 of its own employees across 56 countries and develop Claude-based products for customers in financial services, healthcare, public sector and other regulated industries.

Under the agreement, TCS joins the Claude Partner Network — the network of consulting and service firms that support Claude’s adoption in enterprise environments. TCS will combine its existing expertise in compliance and regulatory conformity with Claude’s capabilities to reach thousands of enterprises worldwide.

For regulated industries, high accuracy and explainability of AI systems is a central requirement. TCS has decades of experience delivering technology that meets compliance requirements. The company will embed Claude in industry-specific solutions — such as claims processing for insurers or credit advisory systems for banks — and implement and operate these for customers in financial services, public administration, life sciences, healthcare, aviation, telecommunications and medical devices.

TCS is acting as “Customer Zero” and is already deploying Claude in its own teams for engineering, finance, legal, marketing and sales. Diligenta, TCS’s UK life and pensions business, will use Claude to improve customer experience for over 22 million policyholders. TCS banking and financial services teams are using Claude Code to boost productivity in software engineering and IT operations. TCS iON, which conducts over 75 million assessments annually across 1,500 cities in India, will offer Claude training and certifications.

K. Krithivasan, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of TCS, justified the partnership with a focus on production readiness: “Enterprise AI value is created through understanding business context, orchestrating complex systems and deep AI engineering expertise. By combining Claude with our industry knowledge, engineering rigor and large-scale transformation capabilities, we help customers move into production faster — especially in industries where trust, resilience and regulatory discipline are critical.” Dario Amodei, Co-Founder and CEO of Anthropic, described the partnership as deepening engagement in India, Anthropic’s second-largest market.
