Over the past decade, I’ve come to deeply love and respect CSS as a technology. Years ago, I made a conscious decision to respond to the common complaint „CSS is hard“ by improving my own skills and treating CSS with the seriousness it deserves, rather than dismissing or devaluing it. Doing that was a game-changer for me: I discovered that many of my long-standing frustrations (“centering is impossible”) had already been solved in CSS years ago, and that “centering” itself isn’t always a single clear concept—which explains why there are so many different ways to achieve it.
