Anthropic and PwC have announced an expanded strategic partnership that will significantly increase PwC’s adoption of Claude to develop technology, close deals, and transform enterprise operations for clients in every sector it serves. The majority of enterprises continue to rely on outdated systems and processes designed for a pre-AI era, creating an economic burden estimated at over $2 trillion. Together, Anthropic and PwC are partnering with companies to shed legacy burdens and rebuild their operations around AI.
Key elements of the announcement: PwC will begin deploying Claude Code and Cowork with its U.S. teams before extending the tools across its global workforce of hundreds of thousands of professionals. The two companies are creating a joint Center of Excellence and will train and certify 30,000 PwC professionals on Claude. The partnership concentrates on three high-impact areas: building agentic technology, AI-native deal-making, and reinventing enterprise functions. PwC is also launching a new finance business unit—its Office of the CFO—as the first standalone practice built entirely on Claude. The AI is already in production across professional sports operations, insurance underwriting, mainframe modernization, HR transformation, and cybersecurity, reducing delivery times by as much as 70%. “PwC has been at the forefront of bringing AI into sectors where accuracy and reliability are non-negotiable—financial services, healthcare, life sciences, and cybersecurity—and the outcomes speak for themselves.” Underwriting for insurance that previously required 10 weeks can now be completed in just 10 days. What used to take hours in security tasks now takes just minutes. We’re thrilled to make Claude available to hundreds of thousands of PwC employees,“ said Dario Amodei, Co-founder and CEO of Anthropic. „The dialogue around AI has moved from theoretical possibilities to real-world implementation. Clients are seeking secure, responsible, and business-oriented AI solutions that produce clear, measurable results in complex operational settings.
